OUR PLAN
FOR COMPLETION AT THE END OF 2027
We are Sea Fox, a local boat manufacturer in the Lowcountry for over 65 years.
Charleston Parks and Recreation awarded us the winning Bid to build a new state-of-the-art facility on the banks of the Ashley River at the old Baker Hospital site.
We plan to build a climate-controlled, EPA, OSHA-certified facility to create over 200 well-paying jobs. We offer on-the-job training starting at $16.00/hour. We are Second-Chance Employers.
We also plan to build a pier with boat and water access, a public park at no cost to taxpayers, and athletic fields for the community to enjoy, something mostly denied to our residents.
Out of the 44 acres Sea Fox acquired, only 11 will be used for the manufacturing plant, and the other 33 will be green spaces and parks.

Sea Fox Boat Works was founded in 1995 by
Freddy Renken, a 3rd generation boat manufacturer. In the past 27 years, Freddy and his team have worked hard to keep the family legacy alive with a primary focus on building the best quality boats at a fair price. Our goal at Sea Fox is to build boats with the fishing expert in mind while not sacrificing the comfort for friends and family.
With a combined 65 years of experience in providing customers access to leisure on the water, we aim to produce all the amenities you could possibly need so that you can leave your worries at the dock and escape like a fox.
